Randy Steele Obituary
MORVEN - On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Mr. Randy Gerald Steele, 70, passed away at his home.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, October 27, 2024 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Abee officiating. Interment will follow in the Steele Family Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times and their respective homes.
Randy was born January 10, 1954, in Chesterfield County, SC, the son of the late Blakney Sampson Steele and the late Melba Hancock Steele. He graduated from Anson High School and retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer at Anson Correctional Institute with more than 20 years of service.
Randy enjoyed any opportunity he had to participate in car shows and driving his antique truck. He enjoyed going to auctions, hunting, raising cows, and spending time with his grandson.
Those who are left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jody Steele (Lisa) and Jason Steele (Jennifer) both of Morven; his grandchildren, Easton Steele, Eli Steele, and Ava Steele; his brother, Ronnie Steele (Becky) of Harrisburg; 5 step-grandchildren and 2 nephews.
