Randy Leonard Tillman

Randy Leonard Tillman, 71, of Muscadine, AL, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was born on August 29, 1953, to the late Leonard Clifton "L.C." Tillman and the late Florence Bradley Tillman Deese.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his son, Kristopher Randy Tillman.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 50 years, Debbie Laminack Tillman, and his daughter, Brandi Tillman, as well as many extended family members and friends.

Randy retired from The Atlanta Journal and Constitution in 2006 , after 26 years of service. He was a proud husband & father who loved his family, deeply. His happiest days were spent fishing, cheering on the Georgia Bulldog football team, working in his garden, and caring for his beloved grandpets. He was a kind, happy person, and loved by everyone who met him. He liked to make people laugh, and was always ready with a joke or quick witted anecdote. He was known for his beautiful singing voice, and spent many years singing for The Beaulahland Singers and Genesis Quartet.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August, 22, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Hightower Funeral Home, in Bremen, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, at 2:00 p.m., at the Hightower Chapel, with Rev. Donald Leggett, Rev. Wayne Pike, and Rev. Hank Darnell officiating. Pallbearers will be Darrell Laminack, Nick Bentley, Jeff Bell, Lee Wright, Jordan Jones, and Victor Longoria. Larry Bentley and Barry Cole will serve as honorary pall bearers. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
