It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ricky Lee Parks, a devoted husband, loving father, and respected member of the law enforcement community, who departed this life on August 15, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on June 4, 1960, in Delaware, Ricky dedicated his life to serving others, first as a member of the U.S. Navy and later as a Deputy Sheriff with the Haralson County Sheriff's Department. His commitment to justice and the safety of his community was unwavering.

Ricky will be remembered for his kind spirit, gentle demeanor, and deep love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Parks; daughters Courtney Barnes (Alphonse), Charity Parks (Scooter), Holley Hackney (James), and Brandy Baxter (Tracey); his son, Bobby Bell (Lauren); brothers Ray Parks and Randy Parks, along with their wives, Sheila and Kim Parks; eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also grieving his loss are his mother, Muriel Parks; mother in law, Ruby Joan Canter; and two sisters-in-law Deb Kahakua and Lisa Dickey; five brothers in law. Ricky's legacy of love and honor will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Bremen on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM-2:30 PM, providing a time for friends, family, and colleagues to pay their respects. A memorial service celebrating Ricky's life will take place at the same location on August 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Reverend Alton Stamey, Reverend Anthony Puckett, Haralson County Sheriff Stacy Williams and Ray Parks will speak at the service. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring a man who dedicated his life to service and who will be dearly missed.

May Ricky Lee Parks rest in peace, and may his memory bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
