Randy was born December 21, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at home. Randy was a well-respected retired Mt. Prospect firefighter and paramedic, as well as retired Morton Grove fire inspector. For many years, Randy volunteered much of his time at the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance's Camp I Am Me- during camp as well as before and after. He was an integral part of getting camp running smoothly during the time his late wife Mary was the Executive Director. Randy was both loved and held in high regard by many in the fire service. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Werderitch for 47 years; loving father of Christy (Jonathan) Wray, Kevin Werderitch and Joe Werderitch; loving Otta of Carter Wray, Ethan Wray and the late Bennett Wray; loving son of the late Louis and Ruth Werderitch ; dear brother of the late Ronald Werderitch and the late Roxanne Clark. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your preferred charity would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Matz Mt. Prospect Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect, Illinois 60056, (847) 394-2336.
