Ranjanben Chokshi

The Chokshi family is sad to announce the passing of their dear mother, Ranjan Vasant Chokshi, on June 21, 2025 at her home in Edison, NJ.
She was born in Ahmedabad as the first child of Hiragauri S. Sheth and Sudhaker A. Sheth on September 14, 1942. She also had two brothers Niranjan S. Sheth (deceased) and Vijay S. Sheth. Ranjan began her college career majoring in education, and moved on to teach Gujarati in elementary school. In 1972, she moved with her children from India to New Jersey to join her husband, Vasant Chokshi in the United States. Soon after, she began working in cosmetics packaging at Cosmair Corporation. She retired after nearly 30 years and then traveled the world. She visited dozens of countries with SOTC travel group and enjoyed seeing the various places and their cultures, while making many friends along the way. She truly loved being with her grandchildren and vacationing with family. She loved to shop and was a very generous soul. She was a devout Hindu.
She is survived by her son Biren V. Chokshi and his wife Melissa Chokshi, her daughter Tejal V. Chokshi, and grandchildren: Michael, Sofia, Melanie, Brian and step grandchildren Sofia, and Olivia. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Umang, Swetha, Purvi, Akash, and Elaine.
