Raquel leaves behind her two sons, Christopher Paul Martin and his wife Bristol, Nicholas Gene Martin and his wife Tiffany; her daughter, Bryanna Elizabeth Martin and her fiance Kyle; grandchildren, Emma, Leyah, Christopher Jr., and Koa; as well as her longtime daughter-in-law, Amanda Stacy.
She also leaves behind her sisters, Michelle Martin, Shelley Hanks-Hokari and her partner Numi, and Robin Hanks La Rosa; her niece, Morgan Riccardi and fiance Jorge; nephew, Michael Riccardi, great nieces, Jaydalise, Serenity and Brooke; and great nephew, Jorge Morales III; her aunts, Aline DeGasperis and her husband Gene, and Shirley Couture; and many cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Herbert Martin (Strong Stone) and nephew, Kevin Klemonski, Jr.
Raquel loved what she did. She enjoyed quality time with her family and loved ones, had a love for motorcyces and spending time on the beach. She was the light in a lot of people's lives. She loved to help whoever needed it and would reach you on the darkest of days. The last two years have been challenging for Raquel, but she always found a way to make you smile. She will be missed dearly.
A celebration of Raquel's life will be held on Saturday (January 4, 2025) at 6 PM, at the Shaker-Hill Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave. New Britain, CT. Family and friends are invited to call from 4PM to 6 PM just prior to the service. Raquel's family wishes to invite everyone to a reception immediately following at the New Britain Elks Lodge 957, 30 Washington St. New Britain from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
