Rattanak Seng

"Rattanak Seng passed away at 36 years old on July 27th, 2025. Born in Thailand on July 7th, 1989, and attended William Hall High School in West Hartford, CT and then received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut. Rattanak spent his professional working career at organizations such as Travelers, UTC, and VeraCore, where he worked in the sectors of IT and computer science, as a Systems Architect and Analyst. He was an avid UConn basketball fan, and routinely cheered on his alma mater, the UConn Huskies, on an annual basis. Rattanak also enjoyed watching soccer and would enjoy a pickup game of soccer with his childhood friends at his former elementary school, Whiting Lane. During his summers, he would go up to Maine with his parents and sister to visit their aunt, uncle and cousins, where they would spend hours at end on their cousin's boat going tubing and wakeboarding on the lake. Lastly, he loved his dog, Bailey, whom he shared with his late wife Sarah, and would enjoy taking his dog on long walks at Elizabeth Park. Rattanak is survived by his younger sister, Kagnica Seng, and his parents Richard Seng and Sonyla Saing. He will be remembered for his generosity to always help his parents and his loved ones no matter what the circumstances entailed. He had a great love for his late wife Sarah, and deeply mourned her loss after her passing. Rattanak will be greatly missed by his family and friends, as his loving soul and kindness has touched many individuals he crossed paths with. May he rest in peace and be reunited with guardian angels once more."
