Raul Ben Jaramillo
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raul Ben Jaramillo, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed from this world on January 31, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on March 7, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, Raul was a proud resident of Abilene, Texas, where he spent his life enriching the lives of those around him.
A devoted family man, Raul is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Jaramillo, and his cherished children, Samantha Rodelo, Raul Jaramillo, Jorge Carmona, and Adrianna Carmona. and loving grandchildren, Avery, Damon,Gabriela,Aliana,Sylvia Niteli, Bella, Mya, Elias, Zoey and Mason. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Mary Jane Garcia, and his sister, Cynthia Reyna.
Raul's passion for sports was unmatched; he had an enduring love for the Dallas Cowboys and spent countless hours refereeing various sports, imparting his enthusiasm for the game to the next generation. He was known for collecting autographs from star athletes across a range of sports, weaving a rich tapestry of memories and connections that he treasured deeply.
As we gather to honor Raul's life, we invite friends and family to join us for visitation at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel on February 6, 2025, starting at 6:00 pm and ending at 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on February 7, 2025, at noon, which will also be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person. Following the service, Raul will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM in the garden of Hope at Elmwood Memorial Park 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606.
Raul Ben Jaramillo will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the light he brought into the lives of everyone he met. May his spirit continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
