Raul Barron Ramirez, 74, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026. Funeral services are scheduled at 2pm, Friday, March 13, 2026, at St. Laurence Catholic Church. The family will receive friends for a visitation and rosary on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 5-7pm at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road chapel.
Raul Barron Ramirez was born in Calvert Arkansas on June 21, 1951, and went to be home with our Lord on March 9, 2026. He was the beloved son of Lucia Barron Ramirez. Raul was the shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of meeting him. Raul was a farmer for 15 years in Hart and Dimmitt, Texas. He moved to Amarillo in 1995 where he worked as construction worker until he retired.
Raul is survived by his wife, Marilla Elena DeLeon Ramirez of 49 years; his two daughter's Lucy Ramirez, Patsy Ramirez Martinez and husband, Anthony Martinez; his brother, Paul Ramirez and his sister, Oralia Palamo; numerous grandchildren, George Mendoza and wife, Erica, Marisol Mediano and husband, Marcos, Michelle Barker, Micheal Mendoza, Juanita Nunez and husband Jacob, Mario, Amanda, Jose, Jasmine and Raven Nunez; numerous great-grandkids, Ruby, Bruno and Miguel, Reyna, Arianna, Barker, Rogelio, Arianna, Amilleo and Mateo Mendoza and numerous nieces and nephews.
