Ray Curtis Bivings, son of the late Clarence Bivings and Dolly Kennedy Bivings, was born on May 18, 1948. On Saturday, January 4, 2025, he traded his earthly labor in for his Heavenly reward.
Ray was a hardworking man known as a carpenter. He would build houses in the neighborhoods all around the city. He was a self-sufficient individual. In his spare time, he loved gardening. Mr. "Ray" had a true green thumb and loved him some vegetables. He loved watching Westerns on TV and fishing. He was a great a husband, brother, father and grandfather. He loved his family dearly, especially his Grandchildren. He's memory will be forever cherished.
He will proceed in death with his wife Roznia Parks Bivings of 52 years. His brother Jim Bivings and one great- great grandchild Dequarius Mcclintock Jr.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories of Ray Curtis Bivings are his brothers; Clarence Bivings Jr. ( Margaret) of Greer, SC, Jake Bivings (Dorothy) of Taylors, SC, Raymond Bivings (Angela) of Greer, SC; sisters, Bernice Jones of Greenville, SC, Rev. Ruby Benson (A.P.) of Greer, SC and Patrica Morris of Columbia SC; son, Perry Parks of Greer, SC; two grandchildren, Alicia Parks of Lyman, SC and Pierre Pearson of Easley, SC; along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 18, 2025, 2:00 pm at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Public viewing Friday, January 17,25, from 2:00pm until 6:00pm. (Please contact us the day of either service for any weather updates changes or delays 864-877-2581)
