Ray "Bean" Gene Bushue, age 71, of Mason, Illinois passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Funeral services honoring Ray's life will be held at Mason Christian Church on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:30 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Mark White will be officiating. Interment will be Leith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Leith Cemetery, or the donor's choice.
Ray was born on December 13, 1953 to Virgil and Sarah (Leith) Bushue. He married the love of his life Mary White on May 8, 1999. Ray worked as a Laborer for Bindery at Crossroad. He loved sports and was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears, as well as Illinois Basketball and NASCAR. He loved classic western movies, fishing, and was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He loved spending time with his family and friends and cherished the many memories they made together.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Mindie Bushue of Iuka, Illinois; step-children, Rowena Barber (Carl Yingst) of Evansville, Indiana, Michelle Logsdon, Emily (William) Belleville of Mason, Illinois, Nicole Crubaugh (Tommy Stockton) of Mason, Illinois, and Shane (Becky) Eskew of Mason, Illinois; grandchildren, Gunner Huddleston, Brodie Huddleston, Axel Bushue, and Mattie Branson; 15 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Sherry (Bill) Goeckner; in-laws, Steve and Kathy White of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Judy Varner and Denise (Loren) Croft of Greenup, Illinois.; and brother-in-law, Steve (Cathy) White of Johnson City, Tennessee.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (White) Bushue; parents, Virgil and Sarah Bushue; son, Toby Bushue and brother-in-law, Gary Varner.
