Ray Garner, Jr., 93, of Brevard, passed away on September 13, 2024 after an extended illness. Born in Akron, Ohio on March 10, 1931, on his mother’s birthday. He was preceded in death by his son, John, in 1972 and his sister, Ruth Caroline Garner Hoyt in 2021.
He was active in the First United Methodist Church ministries and was a realtor in Brevard.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Garner; sister Doris Garner Kneuer, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters Susan Garner of Canton, Ohio and Annette Garner of Camas, Washington; granddaughter Monica Infante of Portland, Oregon; grandson Noah Jacobson of Vancouver, Washington; and great-grandchildren June Infante and Seth, Paige and Blair Jacobson.
A Celebration of Life for Ray Garner, Jr. will be held at 3:oo PM on Sunday, October 6, 2024 in the chapel of First United Methodist Church in Brevard.
