Tommy Elbert Garner, Jr. 78, of Butner passed away on May 10, 2025, at his home. Mr. Garner was born on May 1, 1947, in Durham, NC to the late Tom and Mary Laws Garner.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Garner is predeceased by his son, Tommy Elbert Garner, III.
Mr. Garner is survived by his twin brother, Ronnie Garner; sisters, Beverly Jean Crowder, Dorothy Clayton (Vance) and Mary “Lady” Beverly (Dwight); special friend Donna Garner.
Tommy was a friendly person and was loved by all that knew him.
A visitation will be held Friday May 16, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bible Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the church.
Officiating will be Reverend Greg Allison.
Interment will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Michael Crowder, Mike Pickett, Ronnie Garner, Sr., Ronnie Garner, Jr., Justin Womble, D.J. Beverly, Billy Lloyd, and Todd Garner.
The family asked that flowers be omitted.
