Ray Govert Obituary

Beloit, WI - Ray Arthur Govert, 84, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Autumn Lake Health Care. He was born on June 1, 1940 in Dyer, IN, the son of Alphons and Agnes (Stockman) Govert. Ray was a 1958 Beloit Memorial High School graduate. He was a veteran of the United States National Guard. Ray was formerly employed as a farmer and worked for Govert Bros Well Drilling. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapshooting, and being an uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Ray was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Beloit, WI. Survivors include his brothers, Richard (Pam) Govert of Brodhead, WI, Louis (Karen) Govert of Beloit, WI, and Francis (Terry) Govert of Beloit, WI; sister-in-law, Diana Govert; numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his parents and four brothers, Gerald Govert, Wally Govert, Leon Govert, and twin brother Ralph Govert. A Memorial Mass for Ray will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024 in St. Jude Catholic Church, 737 Hackett St., Beloit, WI, with Fr. Jim Murphy officiating. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
