Raymond P. Dabrowski
Bay City, MichiganAfter 95 years of a fulfilled, and strong faith life, our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and brother left us peacefully with his family by his side on December 8th, 2025.
Raymond Peter Dabrowski was born on July 19,1930 in
Bay City, Michigan. He was the son of Raymond and Marie (Augustyniak) Dabrowski.
He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Betty Krzyminski on November 8, 1952, at St. Hedwig Catholic Church. They celebrated 73 wonderful years together. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Betty, his children; Michael (Barb) Dabrowski of Pinconning, Deborah Shimer of Reese, Cindy (Douglas) Lupcke of Frankenmuth, Christine Cowan, and Francine Dabrowski of Bay City, and sister, Theresa Dzurka of Bay City.
Also left to cherish his memories are his Grandchildren; Nick Dabrowski, Kelly Palm, Jennifer Lemanski, Christopher, Timothy and Patrick Daugherty, Andrew, Zac, and Nicole Cowan, Zebulon Lupcke, Emma Dabrowski, and Michelle and Becky Schliter. Great grandchildren; Emery Dabrowski, Madelyn, Colin and Breylyn Palm, Julie, Josie, and Jaxson Chandler, Avery, Jace, and Duncan Cowan, and first great, great grandchild in April.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Marie, parents Raymond and Marie, in-laws Walter and Virginia Krzyminski, brother, Paul and sister-in-law Joyce, sister, Susie, son-in-law Mike Shimer, brother-in-law Wayne Dzurka, brother and sister in-laws Marion and Georgia Krzyminski, Gerry and Jack Taylor, Fred and Loretta Krzyminski, as well as many relatives and friends.
A man of strong will and work ethics, he taught his children never to be afraid to work hard in their life. He faced many long days working three jobs at General Motors Powertrain for 28 years, Owner of Ray's Greenhouse for 20 years, and the Ray Dabrowski Polka Band for 39 years.
Raymond was involved in community associations for many years, serving as President of the Arc of Bay County, South End Businessmen Association, St. Hyacinth's Athletic Club, and Vice-President of Local UAW #362. He was a member of the Northeastern Floral Association and Musician Union. He was a devoted lifelong member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church and School. Actively involved on the Finance, Pastoral, Parish Committees, Ushers Club, funeral breakfasts and parish projects. He was chairman of the parish festivals for many years.
He was a skilled horticulturalist and known in the South End of Bay City for the beautiful and hearty plants that he grew and sold at his greenhouse business. He started playing musical instruments at 10 years old especially the accordion and violin. He formed his polka band in 1950 and played at many community events, church festivals, weddings and parties. His band produced a polka album in 1970 with the most popular song of "Wave your Hanky".
He enjoyed making his polish czarnina and holiday bread dressing sharing it throughout the neighborhood. Every morning, he looked forward having a great cup of coffee with the Coffee Club at Krzysiak's restaurant. At home, you could see him on the front porch with the neighbors sharing stories and having a glass of wine. He was an avid Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and University of Michigan fan. He loved to set up charity bus trips to the Casino and press his luck at video poker and bingo.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Raymond's granddaughter Jennifer Lemanski for her passionate medical care of him throughout the last five years.
His life was a lesson in love, perseverance, and kindness, a gift we will cherish forever. Thank you, Dad for everything; your memory is our greatest treasure. You will forever be in our hearts. We love you Dad.
The Funeral Mass for Raymond will be celebrated Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Parish-St. James Church, 710 Columbus Ave.,
Bay City, MI 48708. Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera and Fr. Dale Orlik will con-celebrate Mass. Private entombment will be in St. Stanislaus Mausoleum. Family friends will gather at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1200 Garfield Ave.,
Bay City, MI 48708 on Friday, December 12th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Saturday at church after 9:00 AM. Family sharing will take place Friday at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
