Raymond Everett Davidson, age 88, of Mount Vernon passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born on April 23, 1936, in Washington County, Pennsylvania to the late Louis and Elizabeth Irene (Mounts) Davidson. Raymond was employed and retired from Columbia Gas Transmission as the Superintendent at the Bangs Operating Center with over 36 years of service. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed garages sales, and was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Raymond was also a "car guy" and he cherished his convertible Camero. But most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family and close friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Debora (Howard) Purdy, Sherry Dupler; his son-in-law Terry Nichols; four grandchildren, Megan Nichols, Amy (Brian) Dupler-Ferenbaugh, Bryan (Mary) Nichols, Troy Dupler; six great grandchildren, Reese Ferenbaugh, Sydney Ferenbaugh, Caleb Nichols, Cooper Nichols, Everett Nichols, Palmer Nichols; his brother Rusty (Sue) Davidson; his sister Elsie Byers; and his special friend Arlene Jones.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife Donna Davidson; his second wife Jean Davidson; his daughter Amy Nichols; his brother Paul Davidson; and his sister Patty Davidson.
Friends may call on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home.
