Raymond F. Dipko, age 97, of Erie, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025. He was born in St. Michael, PA on July 10, 1928, son of the late John and Sarah Gittins Dipko.
Ray was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church for over 60 years and had been active in many church ministry programs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Ray participated in Meals on Wheels and drove for Regional Cancer Center patients. He also built ramps with the Acorns from Wesley Church. Ray was a supervisor with Lord Mfg prior to his retirement in 1990. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Dipko; one grandson, Christopher Dipko; two brothers, William and John J. Dipko; and one sister, Yvonne Campitel. He is survived by two sons, John Dipko (Nancy) and Thomas Dipko (Anita); one sister, Harriet Croyle; two brothers, Robert L. Dipko and Thomas Dipko (Sandra); three grandchildren, Jonathan, Terri and Joseph Dipko; nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 4 pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6 pm conducted by Rev. Robert Schell. A private interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Manchester Commons, 6351 West Lake Road, Erie, PA 16505. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
