John Renosky

John G. Renosky "Bear", age 77, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at UPMC Hamot, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on March 10, 1948 in Beyer, PA to John and Anna Zolocsik Renosky. He graduated from Marion Center High School in 1967 and after graduation, moved to Erie and worked as a carpenter in construction until his retirement.
John had a big heart and was always helping others. He had a unique sense of humor that always made you laugh. John loved fishing and really enjoyed going hunting on the family farm and visiting family and his life-long best friend, Jim Wadding.
John was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He was the proud father of the late Joshua N. Renosky, whose memory remained close to his heart. John is survived by his loving wife, Terry. He is also survived by his loving children, Jennie Stearns, Howard Lillie (Michelle), Shawn Lindey and Glen Denton; his cherished grandchildren, Annabelle Renosky, Jake Soliwoda and partner, Ashley Kelly, Kala Soliwoda, Nevaeh Denton, Alex Denton, Colton Denton and Chase Denton; and great-grandchildren, Briella McCann, Aubree Soliwoda, Brynlee Soliwoda and Aleeya Soliwoda. He is further survived by his siblings, Frances Segal (Andrew), Irene Sabatine, Patricia Edwards (late Bob), and Andrew Renosky; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Reynolds (Jim), Cindy Danowski (Rob), Sue Fox (Mike) and Billy Gabbard; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Renosky; loving son, Joshua Renosky; and his sisters, AnnaMae Shimmel (surviving Frank) and Marjorie O'Keefe (surviving Dennis).
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Sunday, July 27th, from 2 pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 4 pm.
