Raymond Dupont Obituary
Raymond E. Dupont, 68, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, at Landmark Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Woonsocket, Raymond was the beloved son of the late Mary (Dean) and Roland Dupont, Sr.
Raymond had a passion for engineering, dedicating much of his career to the field. Known for his warm heart and generous nature, he was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and even strangers in need. A self-proclaimed nerd, Raymond took joy in the small pleasures of life: enjoying meals out, visits to Twin River, and hours spent building with Legos. He was especially fond of watching movies, with Star Wars and Star Trek holding a special place in his heart. His love of poetry and sentimental spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Raymond's legacy lives on through his children, Derek Dupont and his fiancée Nicolette Ogden of Glendale; Joshua Dupont and his wife Melissa of Pascoag; and Luz Gomez of Lincoln. He is also survived by his dear sister, Mary "Betty" Nadeau of Woonsocket, and his cherished grandchildren: Sydney, Carson, Addison, Hailey, Corrine, Nora, Julian, and Isabela. Raymond was preceded in death by his siblings, Eileen Cavanaugh and Roland Dupont, Jr.
Raymond will be remembered for his kindness, creativity, and humor. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories of his loving presence and the joy he brought to their lives.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 24 Hamlet Ave., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
