Raymond Edith Obituary
Raymond T. Edith, age 76, of Akron went home to be with the Lord on November 16, 2024. He was born on December 21, 1947, in Clayton, Alabama. Raymond was a hard worker, always providing for his family. He was a loving family man and also a great friend. Raymond was an avid sports fan and enjoyed travelling and fishing. He loved life.
Raymond leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children Randy Edith, Stacy Edith, Andrea (Marc), and Brandon Nicholson; grandchildren Jerica Edith, Chimere Edith, Ashley Averiette, Flice Oden, Flex Oden, Brian Robbinson, and Sarah Huttnes; great-grandchildren Ah’Merica Averiette, Marcellis Averiette, Royce Oden, Kole, Kendall, Stella, and Willow; his loving sister Pamela Rogers (Eddie); nieces and nephews Arris N. King, Lavelle Harden, Chaun Siner, Roderick Siner, LeRoy T. Stewart, Nathaniel R. Jones, Kellie M. Edith; and special friends George Denson, and Jesse Ingram.
He was preceded in death by his father Booker T. Johnson and Tom Edith; mother Lillie Bell Hughes; sisters Virginia Cox, Carrie Hydara, and Sonja Edith Dejournett (Walter).
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11 prior to the service on Monday. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
