Funeral Mass for Raymond N. Foegen, 85, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake.
Raymond passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, at Symphony of Mentor.
He was born May 28, 1939, in Buffalo, N.Y.
Raymond was a member of St. Justin Martyr Church of Eastlake and the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree, council 2886. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed coaching youth baseball and basketball. Raymond retired from the clothing manufacturing industry.
He was the loving father of Ronald (Gayle) Foegen, James (Kelly) Foegen, Mark Foegen, Kathleen (David) Virant and Michael (Michelle) Foegen; cherished grandfather of Bethany (Brian), Sarah (Josh), Jacob, Kelsey, Matthew, Becky (Matt), Christien, Kyler, David and Ashley (Wade); great-grandfather of Kylie, Brynn, Blaine, Violet, Bella, Elijah, Lilliana and Alana; brother of Lorraine Miller; brother-in-law Len Obstarczyk, sister-in-law Kathy Sullivan and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Christine (nee Obstarczyk) Foegen; parents, Harold M. and Dorothy S. (nee Clark) Foegen; and brother, Harold Foegen.
Family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial to follow the Mass at Mentor Cemetery.
