Raymond Kent Holschuh, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, at the age of 82. Ray was born on August 25, 1942, and he dedicated his life to nurturing his family and sharing joy with those around him. He is survived by Linda his loving wife of 59 years. As well as children James (Alicia), Christine (Perry) Scott (Kristina) and Stephen. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren, Amanda, Kaleigh, Alexa, Ayden, and Charlotte. Ray was the last remaining of his family, he rejoins those who have preceded him in death; his parents Everett and Clara Marie and his siblings Charles, Elizabeth, Robert, Ronald, Donna Jean, David and Janet.

Ray’s personality was a tapestry of humility, kindness, and humor. He had a remarkable ability to lift spirits with his infectious laugh and warm hugs. It is no surprise that his grandchildren fondly remember him for these very things—his laughter, his affectionate nature, and the priceless moments spent in his embrace. His dedication to family was unparalleled, and he strove each day to be a loving and supportive figure to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

His marriage of 59 years was a testament to true companionship, as he and his wife shared a bond that many aspire to find. Together, they embarked on various adventures, including the unforgettable journey of moving to Colorado in a school bus, which became a cherished vehicle for their family, taking children to Sunday school. Ray’s deep faith was woven into the fabric of his life, guiding his actions and shaping his role as a caring pillar of strength for his family.

Ray served honorably in the Air Force, a period of his life that instilled in him values of dedication and service, which he carried into all aspects of his life. His kind spirit extended beyond his immediate family; he was always generous with his time and talents, ready to lend a hand when anyone was in need.

He nurtured a plethora of interests, finding joy in taking train trips, admiring cars, and indulging in quiet moments listening to his favorite music. His love of travel enriched his life and created precious memories that he shared with his loved ones.

Ray's accomplishments are many, but perhaps his proudest was the way he guided his children to think independently and live freely. He worked tirelessly to ensure he was a good provider, a commitment that exemplified his dedication to the well-being of his family.

As we gather to honor Raymond Kent Holschuh’s life, we are reminded of the profound impact he had on each of us. His legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will forever resonate in our hearts.
