Benson, NC: Mr. Raymond Eric Massengill, age 43, of Westside Drive passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at his residence. Graveside Services will be 2:00PM-Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier. Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate.
Eric was born on July 3, 1978 in Wake County, NC. Eric lived his life freely and spontaneously, with his only boundary being his eminence love for Jesus Christ. Eric was an entertainer for the entirety of his life, and always quick to offer a clever remark and witty banter on any subject brought up in conversation. He had an appropriate idiom or a movie quote for nearly every occasion. Eric related to the world through music and singing was his lifelong passion. He would unabashedly sing at any given opportunity, either alone or in front of a crowd. Eric will be remembered for his charm, talent, and his innate ability to make anyone smile. He especially loved and cherished his role as being Uncle E.
Surviving include his mother, Vicky Hicks Lindblom of Benson; father, Cecil Ray Massengill and wife, Deborah of Benson; sister, Rachel Renee` Massengill of Benson; niece and nephew, Victoria Faith Massengill (“LeRoy”) and Gabriel Hue Massengill (“Gizmo”); several aunts, uncles and cousins; girlfriend, Brooke Rideout of Cary.
The family will receive friends 12:30PM-1:30PM Thursday, January 6, 2021 prior to the graveside service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
