Michael Harley Massengill Sr.

Michael Harley Massengill Sr., age 84, of Strawberry Plains, TN, formerly of Corryton, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Michael was a man of strong faith and a devoted member of Holston Memorial Baptist Church. He honorably served his country as a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Morrison; his father, Blondie Massengill; his sister, June Stephan; and his brothers, Gilbert Massengill, Charlie Massengill, and Pat Massengill. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Massengill; his son, Jeffrey Hunter Brooks, and wife, Mary Brooks; and his grandchildren, Hayden Brooks, Gavin Brooks, and Mackenzie Brooks. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Michael's honor be made to the American Cancer Society.
