Raymond "Keith" Mills,79, of Troy, MO, passed away at his home on June 20, 2024.
He was born on December 8, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to Raymond Oscar and Ida Ovene Mills. Keith attended the local schools along with his brother, Kenneth. Keith and Pat (Gierer) met on a blind date and it was love at first sight. They were married on November 13, 1965 in St. Charles, MO. To this union were born three children; Raymond, Stephanie and Darren. The family lived in San Diego while Keith was stationed with the U.S. Navy Reserves, they later moved back to St. Louis. Keith was employed at McDonnell-Douglas (now Boeing) as aAeronautical Engineer for over 30 years until he retired. Once he retired, he went back to school and became a real estate appraiser. He was excellent at drawing and aeronautics. He and Pat loved to travel, go camping and they were both history buffs. The best trip they had was going to Ireland, where Keith kissed the Blarney Stone. Keith had a heart of gold and would reach out to anyone in need. His family describes him, "Generous, Protective, Intelligent, Stubborn and Independent." After retirement they moved to Lake of the Ozarks for seven years, then bought a house in Troy.
He is survived by three children: Raymond Keith Mills Jr. of Denver, Colorado, Stephanie Cara (Marshall) Clemons of Troy, Darren Richard Mills of Jefferson City; one grandchild, Matthew Bishop Mills; one brother, Kenneth (Debbie) Mills and his wife Pat's siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
