Coletta M. Knoppe, 86, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at SSM – Lake St. Louis. She was born on May 17, 1939 in Glennonville, MO to Aloysius and Mildred (Schumer) Koeller. She was raised in Glennonville with her 10 siblings where they shared memories and much humor. On Sept. 6, 1958, she was united in marriage to her soulmate, Maurice Knoppe., who she met at a CYC dance. To this union were born 6 children: Mark, Vincent, Dan, Anita, Marilyn and Sandra. Early in the marriage, Maurice and Coletta lived in Campbell, MO before they moved to St. Louis and started their family of six.
In June of 2022, Maurice and Coletta moved to Troy, MO and both became devoted members of Sacred Heart Church. She and her husband enjoyed many weekends and deer seasons at their farm in Frankford, MO with their children and grandchildren. Coletta was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and an excellent seamstress who made her children's clothes when they were younger. Coletta was a beautiful woman most known for her joyous laughter and wonderful sense of humor.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 66 years, Maurice Knoppe; her loving children: Mark Knoppe, Dan Knoppe, Anita Gagnor, Marilyn Anielak and Sandra Hubert.
Coletta has left a generational legacy, not to be forgotten with her surviving 13 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She had 11 siblings. Surviving siblings are: James Koeller, Phyllis Friedman, David Koeller, Mary Barton, Clara Ruiz, Andrew Koeller, Jane Boyet and Stanley Koeller and she has many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
Coletta was preceded in death by her son, Vincent Knoppe, and her grandson, Ryan Hart. She was also preceded by her brothers: Albert Koeller, Linus Koeller and Ronald Koeller.
Visitation scheduled from 4-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO (1636) 528-8244.
A Funeral Mass scheduled at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church in Troy. Fr. Eddie Voltz to officiate. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Troy.
Memorials may be made to: Knights of Columbus Charity, Shriners Hospital or Childrens' Hospital c/o McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, Troy location.
