Raymond Sanchez Morales, known affectionately as Ray, left this world far too soon on December 1, 2024, in
Hemet, CA, following a tragic motorcycle accident. Born on August 13, 1969, in the vibrant community of the Bronx, NY, Raymond's zest for life and infectious spirit were evident from his early years.
Raymond's journey was one marked by a loving family, academic achievement, and a passion for sports. His mother, Idalia Morales-Scimeca, instilled in him the values of resilience and kindness, while his father, the late Raphael Bacote, left a legacy of strength that Raymond carried throughout his life. He was a loving father to Deven Ray Morales, and brother to his four siblings, Mo Bacote, Sabrina Bacote, Ralph Franklin, and Wes Roundtree. His life was further enriched by his beloved partner, Lisa Huard, with whom he shared many joyful moments.

His academic pursuits didn't end there; he furthered his studies at Keller Graduate School, preparing him for a successful career. Raymond's work ethic was evident from his time spent at the Boys Club as a young adult. His sense of duty led him to serve his country in the Navy, a period of his life that filled him with pride.
Professionally, Raymond found his niche in Information Technology, where he applied his analytical skills and easy camaraderie. He also left his mark on the sports clubs he worked with, where his sportsmanship and natural ability were not only recognized but celebrated. Raymond's love for sports was not just a career path but a lifelong passion. He was an avid swimmer and basketball player, and he carried the spirit of competition and athleticism into every aspect of his life. He often boasted, with a twinkle in his eye, that he could still dunk a basketball at the age of 50a claim that delighted and inspired those around him.
Raymond's athletic talents extended beyond casual play; he once graced the courts of Puerto Rico as a professional basketball player. His adventures on the court were a testament to his adventurous and optimistic nature, traits that those who knew him would say defined his approach to life.
Friends and family will remember Raymond as the epitome of friendliness. His ability to connect with others was unparalleled, and his optimism was a beacon of light that drew people from all walks of life. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the world on his motorcycle, an activity that brought him immense joy and freedom.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Margaro Morales Perez and Luisa Sanchez, as well as his father, Raphael Bacote, Raymond leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and the courage to pursue one's passions against all odds.
