Raymond P. Nelligan 74, passed away Monday, August11, 2025 at UMASS Medical Center in Worcester. He was the beloved husband of the late Loretta Nelligan. Ray was born in Plymouth, MA, a son of the late Edward and Lillian (Travers) Nelligan. He worked as a truck driver for over twenty years for St. Germain Trucking in Woonsocket retiring in 2018. Ray's top priority was his family. He was very proud of all of them and loved them deeply. He also had a great love of the ocean and shared it with his wife on many hours' long excursions on his boat. After her passing, he would share that time with anyone who wanted to stare into the horizon with him. He was a hardworking man who provided for his family but always remained good natured and upbeat and enjoyed singing to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters Mary Leary and her husband Patrick Leary of Marlborough, NH, and Barbie-Joe Nelligan and her husband William Leary of Woonsocket, his grandchildren: Kammy, Zachary, and Alexis, great grandchildren: Lillian, Ella, Grayson, Denver and Brinley, and his siblings; Ronald and Arthur Nelligan of Blackstone and Woonsocket respectively, and Diane Nelligan of ME. He was also the brother of the late David Nelligan.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 20, 5-7PM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 So. Main St, Woonsocket. A brief prayer service will begin at 6:30. Burial will be private.
