A calling hour and service will be held on Thursday, September 11, from 10 - 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am.
Both will be held in St. Michael's Church on 4782 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. The Mass will be live-streamed on the St. Michael's web site.
Raymond K. Parzych, 93, the original "Zeke" and the reported "King of the Park" passed away peacefully on September 6, at Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville, New York.
Ray was a lifetime resident of Syracuse, graduated from St. Vincent's School. After graduation, Ray ran the family's hardware store in Eastwood until it's closing. He retired from Edward Joy, after several years at Florescent Lite and Fixture.
Ray was predeceased by his first wife, Lucy Kelly in 1967, his parents, Stephen and Grace Parzych, brothers David and Thomas, his sister Mary Grace Halton and daughter-in-law Deborah Parzych.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane (Walsh) and his sons Mark of Kentucky and Brian and his wife Cheryle of Ohio. His sisters Margaret Pieklik and husband Mark, Susan Kucera and husband Paul and brother Michael. Ray is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special God-children Sarah and Jane.
In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Syracuse Home in Baldwinsville.
