Funeral service for Raymond Scott Sirmon, 56, of Munford, will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Betta View Hills Church of Christ. Richard O'Connor and Rusty Stephens will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Old Munford Church of Christ Cemetery.
Scott passed away on October 14, 2025, surrounded by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Melba Sirmon; and his uncles, Howard Bigbee and Johnny "Shorty" Bigbee.
He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Stacy Sirmon; sons, Camron Scott Sirmon (Matti) and Collin Grant Sirmon; and his father, Raymond C. Sirmon.
Scott graduated from Munford High School in 1987. After graduation he attended Auburn University where he played football and was a part of the 1987 SEC Championship team. He was a Christian, loved the Lord, and attended Betta View Hills Church of Christ. He was the co-owner of Southern Custom Exhibits Inc. for 28 years. He designed and built the 9-11 Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania and handled many other government jobs including the Thomas Jefferson Memorial Museum. Scott was an avid golfer, loved music, and his family.
Pallbearers will be Randy Adams, Todd Bigbee, Brian Brasher, Phil Champion, Tim Lipham, John Morgan, Greg Morrow, and Kenny Stratton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Champion, Jason Green, Evan Ingram, Justin Lackey, Debby Morrow, John Bryan O'Connor, Taylor O'Connor, Derrick Palmer, Donald Sims, Joel Smith, Dolly Sprayberry, Lawrence Thomas, and Scott Tyree.
