Raymond Levi Thompson, age 91, passed away on July 3, 2025 surrounded by family at Salem Crossing.
He was born on July 3, 1934 to parents Chester and Florence (Bunch) Thompson. Raymond was a retired farmer and cross-country truck driver. Raymond enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, talking about cars and staying abreast of current events. Unfortunately, dementia robbed him of these joys later in life.
Raymond is survived by his three daughters: Joanna Thompson of Salem, Vicky Thompson of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Loretta (Mike) Goen of Salem. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, five siblings and an infant daughter, Tami Darlene Thompson.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 11:00a.m-1:00p.m with the service to begin at 1:00p.m. Raymond's nephew, Ronald Magill, will officiate the service with burial to follow at Hardinsburg cemetery.
Raymond's daughters would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Salem Crossing for the good care provided for their dad.
