Raymond Wong Obituary

Published by Cypress Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Sep. 12, 2014.
Raymond T. Wong, M.D. was born on February 15, 1947 in Canton, China. He was the eldest son of Joseph and Pui Lin Wong. On September 12, 2014, at 5:02 pm, he passed peacefully. He was 67. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; and children, Darlene, Darryl, and Denise; son-in-law, Jason; grandchildren, Jamie, Nicole and Ethan; and brothers, Donald and Alfred. Raymond loved to learn. His pursuit of academics and his compassionate spirit guided him to Loma Linda University where he became a doctor. He later built a career with the United States Army achieving the distinguished rank of Colonel. Raymond was a good man. Putting his family and friends first before seeking pleasures for himself. He set the standard of how we should strive to live our lives: with love, with hope, with grace, with discovery, with freedom, and with spirituality. He made his impact on the world through his heart, healing the sick, and giving generously to others. He will be greatly missed and deeply remembered. We love you with all our hearts.
