He preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Raymond Zipper; brother-in-law, Bob Rickert.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Catherine Zipper; children, Keith Zipper (Teri), Terry Ray (Tim), Thomas Zipper (Candy Johnson) and Pamela Zipper ( Kelly Kunkel-Zipper) ; siblings, Yvonne Rickert, Beverly Stewart (Bill), Van Zipper (Pat) and Wayne Zipper; a grandson Chase Zipper and one grand child on the way.; many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Monday May 1, 2023 at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington with entombment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West Mausoleum. Visitation will be be 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
