Kinder-Celebration of Life services for Reba Dale Gooday, 74, will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 6 o'clock p.m. in the chapel of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder, Rev. Don Duplechin will officiate. Reba's family will receive visitors on Tuesday evening from 4 o'clock p.m. until time of service. Reba's family has arranged for cremation following her services. All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.
Reba was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She has been a devoted wife to her husband George for 58 years. She was a talented artist and loved drawing and painting. Reba was also a very talented writer and wrote many poems and country songs. She enjoyed playing video poker at Coushatta Casino Resort and gardening in which she grew many beautiful flowers with her "green thumb". She loved and adored her family and loved spending time with them. She worked very hard to provide for her family making sure to deny her children nothing and making a very happy home for them. Reba will be unconditionally loved and forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish Reba's memory include her husband, George Gooday of Kinder, one son,George Gooday Jr. and wife Michelle of Crystal Springs, MS, one daughter, Sheila Benfield of Seabrook, TX, two sisters, Patsy Sinor and Bertie Johnson both of Edna, TX, five grandchildren, Katherine Gooday of Jackson, MS, Christopher Gooday of Crystal Springs, MS, Jacob Maddox,and Ransom and Ramzie Benfield all of Seabrook,TX.
Reba is preceded in death by her parents Bert and Pauline Price, two brothers, Ronald And Paul Griffin, and one sister Mary Woods.
