Reba Sue Nash McIntyre, age 92, of Shelby, NC, loving wife to the late Hubert Lee McIntyre, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at White Oak Manor of Shelby, NC.
Born May 30, 1929, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rudyard Kipling Nash and Willie Mae Lester.
Reba was a graduate of Girls High, Class of 1948, where she was a multi-sport athlete. She was a proud Navy wife of 20 years and worked in sales for a multitude of businesses throughout her life before retiring. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served on multiple missions.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Griffith, Karen Lee Beachum (David), Linda Gail Crank, and William Robert McIntyre (Cyndy); 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe Nash, Randolph Nash, Evelyn Daniel, and Rufus Nash.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 412 Harden Rd., Anderson, SC 29621. The funeral service will follow visitation at the church at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop David Hatch officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the General Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 412 Harden Rd., Anderson, SC 29621, or to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
