Rebecca Sue Esteppe, age 71, of Stanton, passed away surrounded by her family on July 31, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, following a sudden illness. She was born on October 4, 1953, in Medina, Ohio, to the late Robert Scranton and the late Wilma Surrarrer Angerer. Becky was nurtured in the Methodist Church but truly discovered her faith family at Harvestime Assembly in Stanton, where she formed deep connections that enriched her spiritual journey. She was a devoted mother, affectionate "mamaw," and cherished "great-mamaw," known for her warm hugs and gentle wisdom. Becky's bond with her identical twin sister was a remarkable thread woven through the tapestry of their lives, filled with laughter, shared secrets, and countless memories. With a compassionate heart, Becky dedicated her career as a nurse's aide, providing care and comfort to many residents at various facilities, including Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as the serenity of fishing and the creativity of sewing. She loved to be the go-to person for teaching her family members how to drive, transforming nervous beginners into confident drivers. Becky loved to indulge in a rich, creamy milkshake or a refreshing peach tea. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers: Timothy Scranton, Michael Scranton, Robert Scranton, Jr., and Thomas Charles Pero. Becky is survived by her three children: Roy Thomas (Elizabeth) Esteppe, Sr., Darrell Wayne (Carrasa) Esteppe, and Della Jean Hall, all of Jeffersonville; one brother: Clark Peters of Northeast Pennsylvania; two sisters: Bonita White of Meadville, Pennsylvania, and Barbara Wheeler of Florida; eight grandchildren: Kattie (Ernest) Hale, Roy (Rosalie) Esteppe, Jr., Tori (Duncan) Toy, Cole Esteppe, Zachery Hall, Kayla Esteppe, Bella Esteppe, and Kayleigh Hall; eight great-grandchildren: Roy, Addy, Aubrie, James, Raelynn, Paislee, Willow, and Laynee; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; her former daughter-in-law: Loretta Esteppe; and her best friend, Anna Bishop. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro.
