Rebecca Allen Cavin

Rebecca, age 70, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at her home in Amite, Louisiana. She was a true prayer warrior and loved the Lord. She was a proud member of the Compassion In His Care Ministry Team of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and in 2023, she became a Licensed Minister. Nursing was her true calling and she found herself being the Owner and Administrator of Heritage Home Health from 1994-1998. A few years later, in 2002, she graduated from Baton Rouge General School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Above all, Rebecca was a true family woman. Some of her best memories were made traveling, spending time with the "Allen Cousins", and enjoying every minute she could spent with her husband and children. In her spare time, she loved being creative and found her outlet to often be drawing and making art projects with her husband, Billy. Rebecca will be forever loved and missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Cavin; daughter, Mary Perkins Tadlock (Arthur); daughter-in-law, Shanon Smith; sons, Denny Perkins, Kyle Wales (Kristin), and Kris Wales; sister, Rhonda Allen Morris (Leslie); sister-in-law, Patricia Allen; grandchildren, Devan Perkins, Avery Perkins, Patrick Choate, Connor Choate, Wyatt Choate, Dacota Tadlock (Violet), Alli Wales, Aria Wales, Blake Wales, Maddox Scarbrough, and Kinsey Scarbrough; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Luca, and Juniper; life-long friend and sister-in-law, Cheryl Sibley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Cooper Allen and Stella Pearl Allen; son, Adam Warren Perkins; and brother, Roy H. Allen.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Modern Hospice and Modern Home Health and to Cheryl Sibley for the care they gave to Rebecca and the family throughout this journey.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home 7738 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. The service will be officiated by Johnny Morgan and Brenda Reid.
