Rebecca Elizondo, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 26th, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy marked by devotion, kindness, and grace-a lasting imprint on the hearts of her loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life revolved around those she held dear. Rebecca was the soul of her household, filling it with warmth, music, and unwavering affection. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gilbert (Bud) Elizondo Jr., her lifelong companion, with whom she shared countless treasured moments. Together, they raised a close-knit family that brought her immense fulfillment and joy. Rebecca was a nurturing and supportive mother to Annette and Kenny Hughes, Marty and Jimmie Wood Jr., Gilbert and Alana Elizondo III, and Greg and Rosanna Elizondo. She encouraged her children with quiet strength and unwavering belief in their potential. She celebrated not just their milestones, but their character, their kindness, empathy, and integrity. As a grandmother, Rebecca adored Madison Elizondo, Ethan Hughes, and Jackson Elizondo. She found great joy in watching them laugh, compete, grow, and embrace life with open hearts and a strong faith in God. Her spirituality was a guiding light, giving her strength and compassion in abundance. Rebecca had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, welcomed, and valued-whether through a gentle word, a warm smile, or simply her calming presence. Every family gathering was brighter because of her. Her memory will live on in those fortunate enough to have been part of her world. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
