MUNROE FALLS - Rebecca Hladik, 80, passed away May 6, 2025.
Born in Barnesville, she was a resident of Munroe Falls since 1971. Rebecca attended Kent State University, majoring in Spanish and French and minoring in composition and journalism. She had been employed with the City of Munroe Falls as an administrative assistant, retiring at the age of 62. Rebecca enjoyed gardening, riding the lawn tractor, visiting with friends, reading, writing, and had a great sense of humor.
Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Nellie Powell; son, Scott T. Hladik, she is survived by her husband of 57 years, Norman Hladik; grandchildren, Miranda (Alex) Klink, Andrew Joseph “A.J.” Hladik, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Hladik; sister, Gloria Jean Emplit; daughter-in-law, Michele Hladik (nee Fernandez), and sister-in-law, Arlene Kramer (nee Hladik).
Pastor Dan Page will conduct services 2 PM, Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224, and where friends may call from 1 PM to service time, on Sunday, at the funeral home.
