Rebecca Johnson

Rebecca Johnson, 62, of Boling passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 1, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas to Lydia Quintanilla Casias Talamantez and the late Roger Casias.

Rebecca was educated in San Antonio graduating from San Antonio South San West High School. She married Matthew Johnson on July 17, 1998, in Wharton. They made their home in Boling for many years. Rebecca worked at Cal Maine Foods as a secretary for several years. She enjoyed shopping, going on cruises, to the casinos, camping, watching her grandchildren and a good horror movie. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Joe and Margaret Johnson, brothers-in-law, Carroll Johnson, Don Johnson and Bill Johnson.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Matthew Johnson of Boling, daughters, Candice Looney of San Antonio, Dallas Owens and husband, Kameron of Wharton, Skye Hlavinka and husband, Justin of Wharton, son, Jerry Looney of San Antonio, mother, Lydia Talamantez and husband, Richard, sisters, Sandra Casias and husband, Ral Miranda, Helen Salazar and husband, Raymond, brothers, Roger Casias and wife, Marilyn and Joe Casias and wife, Sherri all of San Antonio, her brothers-in-laws, Turk Johnson and wife, Eve, Avery Johnson and wife, Beverly and Chris Kresta and wife, Sarah and the light of her life, her grandchildren, Maya Owens, Karter Owens, Kalani Owens and Everly Hlavinka.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, after 2 pm, Funeral services will be at 3 pm at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.
