Rebecca Suzanne Knight, a beacon of love and light, was born on July 11, 1961, and departed this world on August 2, 2025. As we gather to remember her, we cherish the tender-hearted soul who wore kind smiles and wrapped everyone she met in warmth and affection. Suzanne's life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, compassion, and faith, grounded in her deep love for Jesus.

In her presence, every moment felt brighter. Suzanne had a huge heart, always ready to embrace little ones and shower them with the joy only a true nurturer can provide. She often said she found happiness by rescuing stray animals, a testament to her loving nature that extended beyond her immediate family. She had an eye for beauty in nature, cherishing every plant she tended to in her garden.

Cooking brought her immense joy, and her culinary skills were unmatched; every dish she prepared was said to be so delicious it would "make you want to slap your mama!" Her love for gathering around the table with family and friends created memories filled with laughter, stories, and the shared delight of good food.

Fishing and beach outings marked some of her happiest days—a chance to connect with nature, soak in the sun, and create cherished memories with those she loved. No matter where she was, Suzanne radiated a sense of peace and joy, reminding everyone around her to cherish life's simple pleasures.

Her greatest pride came from her family; she was married to the love of her life; Dan Knight and they spent 37 beautiful years making a life together. Family says that you never really saw one without the other, they were truly inseparable. Dan would often joke that he would put her in his pocket if he could. They just enjoyed each other’s company, no matter if it was fishing, shopping or going on road trips. Their love was the backbone of their family. Suzanne also treasured her children and grandchildren above all else. They were her legacy, a continuation of the love she poured into this world. Her life was not defined merely by her accomplishments, but by the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dan Knight; mother, Janice Vaillencourt; children, Micah and Tricia Staples, Cortney and Christopher Wells, Cathy and Ryan Marple, Mitchell and Bashia Knight; grandchildren, Wesley, Jacob, Terell, Lexus, Lillian, Riley, Cylas, Alley, Connor, Jordan, Murphy; great grandchildren, Bre, Kinsley; siblings, James Vaillencourt, Sarita Stuart, Sonja Joiner, Jovanaha Vaillencourt.

She is preceded in death by her dad, James Vaillencourt Sr.

As we say goodbye to Suzanne Knight, we carry her spirit with us. Her kindness, love, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire us. In our hearts, she will always remain—a perfect example of love in action.
