Rebecca Lee Kraeutler passed away with her family by her side on February 14, 2024. She was 56 years old.
Born in Montclair, NJ, to parents James Albert and Rosemarie Ann (Ciandella) Kraeutler, Rebecca grew up in Livingston and Mendham before settling in Oxford 21 years ago.
Rebecca attended and graduated from the University of Maine with her bachelor's degree in nursing. She was very skilled and spent most of her career tending to patients in the emergency room of Newark Beth Israel. She mentored, trained, and helped many fellow nurses. She saved many lives and was admired by those who worked with her and those who were treated by her. Rebecca was very curious her whole life and focused her energies on creative outlets. Her hobbies included drawing, painting, and photography, as well as gardening. Her gardens were beautiful, vibrant, and full of life, a real work of art. Her hands were always happiest in the earth of her garden. However, her biggest masterpiece was her family. Rebecca adored her children and was very active in sports and school activities for her kids. In her many accomplishments in life, her greatest was that of being a mom. As her children have said, she was the greatest.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Thomas Grajauskas, her children Wyatt, Jasper, and Shannon Brown, mother Rosemarie Husak, sisters Melissa Kraeutler and Elizabeth Moore, brother James Kraeutler, nephews James and John, and nieces Alissa, Elaina, Abbie and Emily. She is predeceased by her father, James A. Kraeutler.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Road, Mendham NJ. A Funeral Service will take place immediately following the visitation at the Bailey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rebecca's memory may be made to The American Cancer Society and the Humane Society.
