Rebecca Tinnell Parrish of Indian Trail, North Carolina passed away on May 14th, 2025, aged 65.
Rebecca was born in Roanoke, Virginia on December 26th, 1959 to loving parents Carolyn Ann Shelton Tinnell and Clayton Garland Tinnell Jr. She was a graduate of Humboldt High School in Humboldt, Tennessee in 1978 and later earned an Associates in Graphic Arts from Virginia Western Community College. As a mother of two, she spent many years as a full time caregiver for her two boys in which she was present in many classrooms, on field trips, and assisted on many school projects (and by assisted I mean she did the whole thing). On holidays, she would spend hours making sugar cookies that would vanish quickly. She always made a special "K" and "C" shaped cookie for each of her sons as a special treat. Her later career guided her to working at a Home Improvement store where she enjoyed designing custom kitchens and other interior designs. In addition to her passion for interior design, she had an artistic gift and was known to create beautiful crafts and pieces of art. Among the proudest moments of her life was being a mom and watching her children achieve their educational accomplishments and marry two wonderful daughters in law.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents Carolyn Ann Shelton Tinnell and Clayton Garland Tinnell Jr and is survived by her children, Clayton Gabriel Parrish and Kyle Christopher Parrish, her granddaughter Virginia Joy Parrish and her siblings, Cristy Huffman and husband George Huffman, Melody McGhee and husband Michael McGhee, Paul Tinnell and wife Laurie Tinnell, and Mark Tinnell.
A specific date and time has not yet been established for a memorial service.
