Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Probus, left this world on July 16, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on September 4, 1969, in Carmichael, California to Jerry Walter Baxley and May Maureen Burgess, Becky touched the lives of many during her journey through life, and her memory will forever be held dear by those who knew her.
Becky was a dedicated employee at Amazon for more than ten years. Her warm spirit and relentless commitment to excellence made her a cherished member of her workplace family.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Becky found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for fishing and cooking, often bringing her family together for memorable cookouts filled with laughter and love. Those who shared her life will fondly remember her love for classic television, especially her favorite shows like "I Love Lucy," "Little House on the Prairie," "ER," and "Walker, Texas Ranger." Each episode was not just entertainment for Becky but a cherished ritual, reflecting her deep appreciation for storytelling and family values.
Becky is survived by her loving husband, Desmond Probus of Jeffersonville, Indiana, whose unwavering support and partnership defined their life together, her sons, Brandon Gomes of Fall River, Massachusetts, Taylor Baxley of Charlotte, North Carolina and Nicholas Probus of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Their bond was a testament to true love, marked by laughter, adventure, and a shared commitment to family. Her memory will also be cherished by her siblings, Jerrie (husband Gary) Rooks of Columbus, Indiana, Theresa Lane of Sacramento, California, Marie (husband Elton) Lamborn of Valley Springs, California, James Lane of Lancaster, California, Melodye (partner Jane) Lane of Rocklin, California, John Lane of Del Paso Heights, California, Charles (wife Patricia) Lane of Stockton, California, Michael (wife Sharon) Lane of Antioch, California and Anthony Lane, Jr. of Citrus Heights, California as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary L'Italien.
In honoring Becky's life, a funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 4:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home. Friends may visit with Becky's family from 2:00 until the service at 4:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate her remarkable life, sharing cherished memories and reflecting on the love and joy she brought into our lives.
Becky will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
