Robert Bruce Probus, age 69, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on October 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 31, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Wilbur Franklin Probus and Emma Jean Ferry.
Robert worked for TMSI as a forklift driver and machine operator, where his dedication and hard work earned him the respect of his coworkers. He also served as President of the IUE-CWA Local #807, proudly advocating for his fellow union members and always standing up for what he believed in.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed fishing, watching Star Trek, and spending time with his family. He loved his children deeply and found joy in every moment shared with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Hatalla.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Brumleve Probus; his son, Daniel Probus (Erin Freel); two daughters, Jaime King (Lee Stearman) and Jess Tipton; stepdaughter, Bethany Dezarn (Cory); and stepson, Justin Wayman (Joyce). He was a proud grandfather to Jacob, Jazlyn, Cassie, Raistlin, Rhiannon, Xavier, Tyler, Brayden, Brittany, Aaron, Tyler, and Olivia, and a great-grandfather to Cayson. He is also survived by two sisters, Beverly Woosley and Carol Farrow; a brother, David Probus; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation and service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Legacy Scott Chapel Funeral Home, 921 Main Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
Robert will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. His legacy of love and integrity will live on in all who knew him.
