Regina Ann Harned passed peacefully into eternity on May 23, 2025, after a long illness. She was born, to Andrew and Mary Kelly in 1932 in Alleghany County Pennsylvania. The family moved to Westfield, New Jersey in 1943. Regina graduated Holy Trinity High School in 1950 and went on the graduate as a Registered Nurse from St. Vincents Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She married Alfred Harned in 1955, after meeting on Valentine's Day while taking classes at Seton Hall University. Together they raised five sons in Westfield. They moved in 1981 where she enjoyed, and described as, the "golden hills" of Southern California.
Regina enjoyed a robust 35-year nursing career, retiring as an Emergency Department RN, retiring to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1992. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, gardening and bingo outings and just spending endless days with each other. Mom was known as an avid jigsaw puzzler. Her children recall that rarely was there not a puzzle on the dining room table growing up and into their retirement years. Alfred passed in 2010, after 55 years of marriage.
Regina is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Rosemary Kelly of Westfield, NJ and a sister-in-law, Ann Malone of Florida. She is also survived by her five sons, Thomas and his wife Barbara of Pennsylvania, Robert and his wife Debra of Arizona, Timothy and his wife Sherry, and Brian and his wife JoAnne, both of California, and Allen of Nevada. She is also survived by many grand, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial service June 9, 2025, at the chapel at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.

Al & Family - Bob and I were so very sorry to hear of your loss. Your Mom was so special! We were blessed to meet her and your Dad when they came to Rapid to visit Al. Also spent time with them when they apartment sat for Al. Always loved seeing with them. When Bob went to Vegas on TDY, they invited him over for dinner. Another time they took him downtown.l - Bob could barely keep up with them in Vegas! He loved to tell that story. Wonderful people, both of them. Another memory - we had one missing piece in a huge jigsaw puzzle. We could not find a duplicate puzzle anywhere. Your Mom was certain they had it. They did, and mailed it to us so we would have the missing piece! I will carry so many good memories of your Mom and Dad always. Keeping you all in prayer.
