Reginald Stewart Anding, known to us as Reginald, was born in the warm heart of Big Spring, Texas on the 12th of July, 1963. His life was a testament to unyielding compassion, boundless love, and an unwavering spirit that touched the lives of everyone he met. A lover of sports, Reginald's spirited nature was always on display, whether he was cheering on his favorite team or helping others in need. His smart, intuitive mind and loving heart allowed him to connect with others deeply, and his compassion made the world a better place.
Reginald graduated with honors from Big Spring High School and later from Texas State Technical Institute, an accomplishment he held close to his heart. His intelligence was not only academic, but also deeply human. He possessed an innate understanding of people and their needs, a trait that guided him throughout his life. Despite never being formally employed, he found his purpose in helping others, always putting their needs before his own. His residence in Austin, Texas, having moved from his birthplace Big Spring, was a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the occasional spirited debate about the latest game.
Reginald was a devout Baptist, and he found strength and solace in his faith. As the scripture says, "We love because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19). This verse embodies the essence of Reginald's life, as he mirrored this divine love in his every interaction. Reginald is survived by his loving brother, Kim Anding, who will forever cherish their shared memories. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, James and Ruby Anding, who fostered his compassionate and loving spirit.
Please join us in celebrating Reginald's life by sharing your memories, stories, and pictures on his memorial page. His spirit lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. Remember him for his compassionate soul, his loving heart, his smart mind, and his spirited energy. As you reflect on his life, remember him not for how he died, but for how he lived, with love, compassion, and spirit always guiding his path.
