St. Martinville- A Prayer Service will be led by Rev. Abelardo Gabriel, SVD, at 8:30 am on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville, for Reginald "Guam" Jean-baptiste, 55, who passed away on April 8, 2023, at his home.
Visiting hours will be observed at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Saturday, April 15th, from 7:00 am until 12:00 noon.
Reginald, known to his family and friends as, "Guam," was born December 4, 1967, in Lafayette. He enjoyed fishing, listening to Reggae music, and most importantly being with his beloved family. Guam will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his fiancée, Madeline Johnson; sisters, Charlotte Jean-baptiste (Lincoln), Agatha Charles Batiste (Bernard), Consuella Jean-baptiste Guidry, and Natalie Jean-baptiste Olivier; step-daughter, Emeral Pete; grandchildren, Noel Pete, Adriel Pete and Naomie Pete; dog, Kingston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mary Margaret Lambert Jean-baptiste; step-daughter, Dajanee Olivier; brother, Roland Jean-baptiste; brother-in-laws, Joseph Guidry and Jules Olivier, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Batiste, Keenan Charles, Daylon Jean-baptiste, Bernard Batiste, Nicholas Hypolite, and Jason Batiste.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Johnson, Lincoln Carrier, Jeffery McNie, and Andrés Faulk.
Pellerin Funeral Home, 112 New Market St., St. Martinville, LA 70582 (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
