Reginaldo "Ray" Rivas

Reginaldo "Ray" Rivas, age 59, was born April 5, 1966 in the humble town of Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. He went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 25, 2025 while surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lazaro A. Rivas, and grandfather, Lazaro M. Rivas.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Maria D. Rivas, his children Vanessa, Christopher (Erika), Marissa, 2 loving yorkies Chulo and Chico, 6 grand-children, his mother Maria Teresa, sisters Kathy, Blanca and Elsa, brothers Lazaro, Edward, Juan José and Onesimo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He served the residents of Val Verde County and surrounding areas as a multi-million dollar producing realtor at Real Estate Solutions in Del Rio, Texas.
Gentlemen with the honor of pallbearers are Christopher R. Rivas, Ryan P. Jennings Rivas, Juan José Rivas, Christian A. Rivas, Onesimo Rivas, and Edward Rivas.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 4:00PM – 8:00PM, with a recitation of the holy rosary at 6:30PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.
Visitation continues Monday, January 5, 2026 from 8:30AM – 9:30AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday January 5, 2026 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 510 Wernett St., Del Rio, Texas.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
