It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jessica Rehnee Collins Dyer, a devoted mother, cherished friend, and beloved member of the Blairsville community. Rehnee, born on January 2, 1955, in Athens, GA, departed this life on March 25, 2025, at the age of 70.
Rehnee was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Dyer; and her father R. Neal Collins.
Rehnee was a shining light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her two sons, Lee Dyer and Nick Dyer; daughters, Michele (Rhett) Williams and Kelly Cantrell; and her brothers, Bob Collins, and Joe Collins; her mother Ruby Collins. Rehnee's heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren, Blake Cantrell and Sawyer Williams, and her great-grandchildren, Jackson Cantrell and Clayton Cantrell. Her love for them knew no bounds, and her legacy will continue through the cherished memories they hold.
A faithful member of Choestoe Baptist Church, Rehnee served diligently in the Women's Missionary Union and actively participated in children's activities, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to her faith and community. Her warmth and kindness extended well beyond her family; she maintained strong friendships and was regarded as a pillar of support by many.
Rehnee shared a beautiful 40-year marriage with her late husband, Larry Dyer, and throughout her lifetime, she exemplified the true meaning of love, compassion, and dedication. After 31 years of dedicated service to the Department of Natural Resources, she embraced retirement, allowing her to travel and enjoy her greatest joy—spending time at the beach and with her beloved cats. As a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves, her spirited enthusiasm for life resonated with those around her.
